• Hold 2 meetings/month (except once in Sept & Dec)

  • Your Area Coordinator (AC) must attend every meeting & you’ll be tasked with creating the agenda and submitting it to the attendance form

• Lead a year-long advocacy initiative for your hall

• Communicate regularly with your EBoard counterparts (Vice President and the Community Outreach Team)

• Spearhead an Impact Event in your hall

• Create promotional materials–particularly posters and social media posts–for Hall Council events

  • Submit posters and social posts for approval

  • Create and post events to respective hall’s RevConnect page

  • Draft emails for CC to send out

• Lead HC meetings when the President is absent

• Maintain consistent communication EB positional counterpart (Communications Team)

• Plan at least one event each month for your hall (Mandatory Meet your Hall Council Res-Fest event)

  • Fill out the Program Form for event approval

  • Fill out a feedback form after your event concludes

• Plan and help execute campus-wide events

  • Coordinate with other Hall Councils to plan large-scale events

• Maintain consistent communication EB positional counterpart (Programming Team)

• Create full and complete budgets for HC programs

  • These will be for items (e.g. food) that you wish to order

  • Give the budget to your Programming Chair to submit with the event form

  • Follow Director of Finance guidelines regarding spending limit

• Coordinate supplies reservation and pickup for all HC events

• Complete the post-event tracking form after every Hall Council event

• Maintain consistent communication EB positional counterparts (Finance and Operations Teams)

The Committee Corps is a group of RHA members whose entire job is to serve on committees. Rather than having pre-assigned responsibilities, each Committee Corps member’s work is determined by the committee(s) of which they are a part. Committee Corps members may serve on one or more committees, and they may have the opportunity to become the chair or vice chair of a committee.

The Advocacy and Outreach Committee works to increase RHA involvement in the GW community and beyond through events, service projects, and advocacy initiatives. Members should join if they have a passion for community service, advocacy for residents, and/or networking with GW student organizations.

The Communications Committee assists with most of the internal workings of the Communications Team on the Executive Board of RHA. This committee designs the posts made for the GWRHA Instagram account, including pictures and videos, as well as merchandise that, potentially, all GWU students will see! Not only does this committee facilitate creative group work, but YOU can influence what is uploaded to MAIN RHA Social Medias, and YOU can gain the experience of a true member of a marketing team!

The Member Engagement Committee strives to create and foster a social hub and a connected community throughout the entire RHA General Body. The committee is primarily responsible for hosting events, which could be educationally, socially, culturally, or professionally focused. Members should join the Member Engagement Committee if they have a passion for putting on events and activities that are designed to be fun and bonding, creating community within RHA.

The Operations Committee manages the reservation, distribution, maintenance, and organization of RHA supplies and equipment across both the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses. Through maintaining Booqable, inventory records, and office organization, the committee supports the successful execution of Hall Council and Executive Board events.

The Programming Committee works with the Director and Assistant Director of Programming to plan and host inclusive campus-wide events through RHA. Members should join the Programming Committee if they have a passion for planning and executing large-scale events for the whole student body to enjoy through being present day of to facilitate the running of the event.
